Job Description
Role purpose:
The Digital products portfolio represents different customer facing digital channels such as social messaging, chat, and voice to allow our customers to self-service everything around their products and services. The heart of this represents the Vodafone global TOBi platform, which is an AI-powered chatbot platform which integrates with several channels to serve a consistent customer experience. The aim is to delight our customers with a wow effect by making the experience as smooth and intelligent as possible. The platform includes all aspects of an AI-powered system such as Intent Recognition, Dialogue Management, as well as Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech services.
The role owner will be responsible for the integration and the orchestration of all the cognitive services into the global TOBi platform architecture and drive the adoption within the Vodafone markets. The role owner will be measured against the successful implementation and rollout into the Vodafone footprint.
The role includes the ability to understand latest technology trends and convert those into assets. A strong international background is required as the role includes working with international teams as well as the Vodafone footprint across different markets.
The role owner will be part of an agile squad and responsible to deliver the solutions to our markets.
In Vodafone, we believe in the values of agile delivery, and we see the solution designer as a fundamental role within the delivery team, working closely with the Product Owner, Software Engineers, and DevOps resources.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Must have a balanced mix of comprehensive technical and business skills.
- Proven working experience in designing large distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions
- Strong time-management skills and being comfortable working under pressure
- Proven experience of conducting technical workshop, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents
- Good in Monitoring tool knowledge Dynatrace, Instana, Icinga
- Good understanding in database MongoDB, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB
- Should have a very good analytical, consultative and problem-solving mind-set, and an influential personality capable of quickly building rapport and credibility with teams.
- Excellent communication skills (in an international distributed team)
- Capacity to learn and work independently
- Good understanding of Kubernetes, Cognitive technologies (NLU, Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text) and Generative AI Services
- Experience on Azure or AWS
- Good understanding of Restful design principles and familiarity with technologies like Swagger, JSON, and HTTP.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Experienced in design and development of highly scalable, robust, distributed systems
- Higher education degree in IT/Engineering or related field
- Experience in agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban
Minimum 7 years of experience in solution design
