Senior Python Software Engineer @ Locobuzz

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance Python applications for large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless integration across products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, Data Science, QA) to deliver product features.
• Work on data processing pipelines, ETL integrations, and real-time streaming for analytics use cases.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of applications.
• Manage databases (SQL & NoSQL) with efficient query optimization and schema design.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications using Docker/Kubernetes on AWS/GCP.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code with proper documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Python frameworks, tools, and industry best practices.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (advanced level) with OOPs & design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Django and Flask.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
• Experience in asynchronous programming (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, asyncio).
• Proficiency in Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Strong debugging, unit testing (PyTest/Unittest), and performance optimization skills.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Good understanding of system design and scalable architectures.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to AI/ML/NLP libraries (Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy).
• Experience in real-time data pipelines, big data frameworks.
• Knowledge of frontend integration with React/Angular teams.
