As part of the overall Cloud Services Practice, the Senior Practice Manager will be responsible for developing & managing a high performance team, dedicated to building strategic value-add customer relationships, providing best in class service delivery and ensuring customer satisfaction. To achieve this, the Practice Manager would develop and scale the AWS Public cloud and Private Cloud delivery teams, DBA teams, NOC teams, Infrastructure Managed Services teams, foster alignment with internal stakeholders and drive operational excellence, whilst supporting best-in-class customer engagement and enabling the expansion of the Cloud customer base.
What is expected out of you?
Motivate and develop a 24x7 365 days team of highly skilled consulting professionals around AWS Public Cloud platform, Private Cloud, DBA support (Oracle, SQL Server), Remote Infrastructure Managed Services and NOC to drive high performance and growth
Oversee delivery of projects & managed services engagements, ownership for all escalations, ensure high quality, on time and on budget delivery and customer satisfaction
Build capability and capacity in the teams as per business forecasts
Be a hands-on leader with high levels of energy, passion, creativity and enthusiasm
Ensure the implementation of process improvements and operational efficiencies within the team
Establish strong, lasting and collaborative relationships with the Sales team, Pre-Sales team and other LOBs
Understand Business Trends, Drive Innovation and Build Services Portfolio especially in the areas of Public and Private Clouds
You are engaged at the account level in providing visibility, service reviews and reporting through all phases of the project implementation life cycle and maintenance
Own the Cloud Service Practices budget, including Revenue, Utilization, Head count & Profitability
Develop training and certification programs to empower the consulting team and upskill their technical capabilities
Support sales activities through client meetings, presentations and proposal documents by working closely with the onsite sales, pre-sales and delivery teams
Conduct periodic reviews of the team and set the goals & objectives in line with organizational goals
Defining Cloud Readiness Assessments, Strategies and Transformation Roadmaps
Identify and facilitate consumption of appropriate cloud services, solutions and technologies
Conceive and develop high quality solution accelerators in the cloud domain
Developing enterprise level guiding principles, standards and best practices
Stay abreast of major industry technology trends
Collaborate with Management team on company directions and strategic initiatives
What should you possess?
More than 18+ years of relevant experience managing large teams including consulting leadership
Direct line Management experience including project, people, and customers preferred
Customer facing skills to represent AWS Public Cloud and Private Cloud with the customer and drive discussions regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
Experience on IaaS implementation and roadmap planning
Experience in establishing and effectively managing a delivery team
Able to work with customers and convince customers of the benefits of moving to the cloud, including familiarity with architecture blueprinting & roadmap definition
Able to articulate solutions with respect to business requirements of the customer
Able to build & foster strong internal relationships with multiple cross-LoB channels. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others
Able to work with AWS/Oracle Cloud support teams to review product issues and resolve customer problems
Excellent listening, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Proven success in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to effectively lead large projects from inception through implementation
Expertise on working onsite and offshore business model
