Job Description
- As a Senior Analyst/Data Engineer in Big Data Analytics & Engineering at Mastercard, your role will involve focusing on data engineering and data unification across various data assets to enable a unified view of data from multiple sources. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development of new innovative data-driven cyber products, services, and actionable insights. - Perform data ingestion, aggregation, and processing to drive relevant insights from available data sets. - Collaborate with different teams such as Product Manager, Data Science, Platform Strategy, and Technology to understand data needs and deliver data solutions that generate business value. - Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume data from different sources using various tools and techniques. - Identify innovative ideas, deliver proof of concepts, and propose new products, services, and enhancements. - Integrate new data assets to increase value for customers and enhance existing solutions. - Analyze large volumes of transaction and product data to generate insights and recommendations for business growth. - Gather feedback from clients, development, product, and sales teams for new solutions or product enhancements. - Apply knowledge of metrics, measurements, and benchmarking to complex solutions. - Good understanding of Python, Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, and Impala. - Experience in data analysis and extraction on Hadoop. - Familiarity with Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform/Data platform. - Strong SQL and higher-level programming skills with knowledge of data mining, machine learning algorithms, and tools. - Experience with data integration tools like ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Azure Data Factory, Pentaho, Talend). - Hands-on experience in data modeling, programming, querying, data mining, and report development using large volumes of granular data. - Exposure to collecting and working with data, standardizing, summarizing, offering initial observations, and highlighting inconsistencies. - Strong understanding of analytical methods and data visualization for supporting business decisions. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment both as a team member and an individual contributor. - Skilled in articulating solution requirements for business, analytical, and technical teams.,
