Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in Agile framework, JIRA, and Confluence would be helpful.
• Experience in developing HTML-based context-sensitive help for web applications.
• Familiar with the use of graphic tools such as SNAGIT.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in using documentation tools like RoboHelp will be an added advantage
• Strong written communication skills, good vocabulary, and understanding of the use of correct and relevant verbiage.
• Experience in the usage of the Microsoft Style Guide.
• Ability to adhere to the company-specific Style Guide.
• Good understanding of standard documentation best practices used in Software development organizations.

Core Competencies & Technical Skills

• Exceptional Writing & Creativity: The ability to transform complex technical concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand content through creative writing and clear articulation.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Authoring & Project Tracking: Deep expertise in Confluence and JIRA.
• Styling & Web: Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Markdown to create web-based and context-sensitive help.
• Visuals & Office Suite: Familiarity with graphic tools like Snagit and a strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Version Control: Experience with Git.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong editing, proofreading, and information architecture skills.
• Proactiveness: Comfortable learning directly from the application UI and proactively seeking information from subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Direct experience documenting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
• Domain knowledge in Fashion & Apparel, Food & Beverage, or Retail industries.
• Experience documenting APIs (REST, GraphQL).
