Job Description
Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, CI/CD, and quality assurance
practices, along with the ability to collaborate across global teams. This role requires hands-on
experience with test frameworks, tools, and methodologies, as well as a passion for delivering
high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and document test cases, capturing results with clarity.
- Raise well-documented defects with sufficient detail for quick resolution.
- Provide stakeholders with clear insights into tested features and results.
- Monitor and resolve CI/CD issues to maintain smooth build pipelines.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks, ensuring maximum coverage of
regression and feature tests.
- Manage software releases and ensure the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with multiple teams across geographies (USA & India).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of defects and propose process improvements.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to improve testing efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 36 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium with Java/JavaScript for Web UI testing, Cucumber,
RestAssured, Postman.
- Experience in Jenkins, BDD/TDD methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitLab, microservices, and Agile methodologies.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience in debugging within microservices-based environments.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Preferred (nice to have):
- Experience with Python or Shell scripting.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing tools.
