Quality Assurance Engineer @ Clarivate

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3-4 years of experience in automation, functional, and performance testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and API testing, along with hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines, database testing, and test management tools. This role involves building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct database validation using SQL to ensure data integrity.
• Execute and analyze performance tests to identify bottlenecks.
• Use JIRA for defect tracking, reporting, and project collaboration.
• Participate in test planning, review sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Drive continuous improvements in automation and testing practices.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Java and test automation with Selenium WebDriver.
• Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).
• Working knowledge of JIRA or other test management/defect tracking tools.
• Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and STLC processes.
