 Cloud Manager

Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Management:


1. Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

2. Implement multi-cloud strategies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, for specific workloads and business needs.

3. Manage virtualized environments, containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and server less computing services.

4. Facilitate the integration of Power BI, enabling effective data visualization and analytics.

5. Managing data lake environments involving designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure data storage solutions.


Operations and Optimization:


1. Monitor cloud performance and service availability, implementing proactive measures to ensure 99.9% uptime.

2. Optimize cloud cost management through budget tracking, utilization analysis, and rightsizing resources.

3. Ensure robust disaster recovery (DR) and backup solutions to protect critical data and systems.


Security and Compliance:


1. Implement and manage advanced security protocols to protect sensitive industrial data from cyber threats.

2. Ensure cloud services meet regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and local compliance standards relevant to cloud management

3. Conduct regular cloud security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.


Cloud Strategy and Governance:


1. Define and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business objectives in steel, power, renewable energy, and cement domains.

2. Establish governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, data security laws, and organizational policies.

3. Lead cloud transformation initiatives, including application modernization and migration to public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.


Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:


1. Partner with IT, operations, and business teams to identify and address cloud computing needs across diverse industrial operations.

2. Collaborate with external cloud service providers and vendors to negotiate SLAs and ensure quality service delivery.

3. Provide strategic insights and reports to senior leadership, highlighting the impact of cloud initiatives on operational efficiency and growth.


Team Leadership and Training :


1. Lead a team of cloud engineers, administrators, and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

2. Develop training programs to enhance cloud competencies within the organization.

3. Mentor team members to stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • A Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Professional Certifications (preferred):

"Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are required.

ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent certifications in IT management and security are a plus."

  • Experience:

a. Minimum of 9+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or related fields.

b. Proven track record of managing cloud operations for industrial setups like steel, power, renewable energy, or cement.

c. Experience in multi-cloud environments and integrating legacy systems with cloud platforms.

  • Abilities:

"Technical Skills:


  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).

  • Strong understanding of containerization, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or similar.

Soft Skills:


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership.
