Job Description
- Create the R&D team structure.
Build and scale a high-performing team of 20+ engineers, mainly based in India.
Manage and inspire the team to deliver the art of the possible.
Manage a multi-million-dollar R&D budget and measure team ROI.
Technology Strategy:
- Define and execute an R&D vision at the intersection of cloud, AI/ML, and agentic AI, focused on delivering service-based solutions (not tied to a single product).
Lead initiatives to integrate Agentic AI, ML, and cloud-native engineering practices with our consulting & delivery groups, within the Studio and Amdocs wide, to deliver production outcomes at enterprise scale.
- Drive the development of horizontal solutions across multiple industries, ensuring adaptability and reusability of innovations not tied to a specific vertical.
Work closely with go to market team & presales to deliver R&D solutions for their global service offerings.
- Organizational Change Agent:
Influence global consulting delivery, partnering with consulting & delivery leaders, promoting adoption of new technologies and delivery models.
- Act as a trusted advisor to GM and CXO-level stakeholders internally and externally, representing the Cloud Studio with strong executive presence and communication.
Drive innovation in cloud & data modernization, platform-as-a-product, and data-as-a-product initiatives.
Champion engineering best practices and measurable business impact.
Qualifications
- 15+ years professional experience in engineering, with 10+ years services and consulting environments.
Strong technical foundation, having grown from a hands-on engineering background in cloud, software, or data engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with deep knowledge of modernization, migration, and platform engineering.
Proven expertise in Agentic AI, AI/ML, and deploying intelligent systems in production at scale.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and ability to story-tell & influence at the executive (CXO) level.
Track record of leading engineering teams and delivering innovative, service-driven solutions.
Experience managing large-scale budgets and scaling teams in a mix of offshore and onshore locations.
- Demonstrated success as a change agent in global organizations, driving adoption of new technologies and approaches.
Product-mindset with the ability to balance innovation with service-delivery execution. - What will your job look like?Key Responsibilities
