Job Description
Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a Senior Linux Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintece, optimization, and security of Linux-based systems in enterprise environments. This role provides working on Manage multi-cloud environments (PrivatePublic clouds) and advanced system administration, automation, and support services to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure and applications.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Linux systems handling heavy workloads as we'll as Linux-based container environments in live production systems.
- Design, set up, and manage Kubernetes clusters and container-based environments.
- Set up and fine-tune network solutions like routing and load balancing for better performance.
- Deploy and set up container orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and troubleshoot advanced technical issues.
- Manage multi-cloud environments (PrivatePublic clouds) with focusing on optimizing costs.
- Automate system tasks and deployment processes using scripts and CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Monitor systems and enhance their performance for better efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation, including diagrams and standard operational procedures.
- Coordinate and work with global teams operating in different time zones
Required Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of IT experience in Linux based servers
- Relevant experience as a Linux Network/Systems administrator (L3-L4 support level)
- bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Solid troubleshooting skills of Linux based servers (Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS)
- Solid understanding of networking and storages
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and containerization systems
- Proficiency in automation tools(Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab, CI/CD)
- Understanding of monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Understanding of scripting languages (shell, Perl, Python)
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes cluster management and optimization
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Openstack, KVM, RCP)
- Understanding of database principles (SQL/NoSQL)
Education:
- bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
