Job Description
The candidate will oversee the following functional areas:Audit and Financial Controls
Responsible for facilitating statutory, internal, tax, and IFC audits. This includes maintaining up-to-date documentation, addressing audit queries, and ensuring timely closure of all observations. The candidate will ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls and compliance protocols.Vendor and Payables Management
Will oversee the vendor payment cycle, ensuring that payments to partners are processed as per contractual terms and internal service level agreements. Reconciliation of vendor accounts, monitoring of outstanding liabilities, and validation of invoice accounting will form a key part of the role.Receivables and Invoicing
Accountable for timely and accurate customer invoicing in line with operational KPIs. This includes reconciling kilometer-based billing data and managing revenue recognition in coordination with the operations and billing teams.Documentation and Tax Compliance
Ensure comprehensive documentation of all financial transactions and reconciliations. Will support compliance with applicable GST, TDS, and income tax requirements. The role also includes providing relevant reports and analysis to internal stakeholders and external auditors as required.Process Optimization
Expected to drive process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in payment, accounting, and control mechanisms. Will collaborate with procurement and operations teams to streamline and digitize workflows, contributing to long-term operational efficiency.Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, or MBA in Finance, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in core finance functions including audit, tax, and vendor management. Prior experience in the infrastructure, mobility, or transportation sectors will be considered an added advantage.Core Competencies
- Sound knowledge of SAP (preferably S4HANA) and ERP systems
- Strong grasp of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and income tax compliance
- Proven experience in audit coordination and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Exposure to internal financial controls and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Additional Advantage
Experience in handling finance functions for government contracts, or working in collaboration with large-scale outsourced service providers and ecosystem partners, will be viewed favorably.
