General Manager - Process Research @ Diageo

Job Description

As the Head of Product & Process Research at our leading premium drinks company, you will be responsible for leading the Supply Chain and Manufacturing team in sourcing, producing, and delivering our beloved brands across the globe. You will collaborate with passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds to drive innovation, sustainability, and growth in alignment with our Society 2030: Spirit of Progress goals. - Possess a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Chemistry with a strong industrial research background in relevant industries such as FMCG, Dairy, Flavour, or Alco Bev - Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and in-depth knowledge of process chemistry & biochemistry related to flavour generation from natural raw materials - Develop and execute a strategic research plan to achieve business growth objectives - Drive the S&T Program by developing project pipelines, designing and delivering projects for innovation and sustainability, and ensuring project deployment across various geographies - Lead maturation chemistry projects for spirits technology applications, including science and scale-up programs for spirits maturation and alcohol yield process improvement - Drive productivity initiatives by developing analytical methods, technology scan, and methodology development for quality assessment of spirits - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external collaborators to drive a culture of innovation and open collaboration - Provide scientific inputs to liquid innovation projects, regulatory compliance, and vendor development with sourcing function - Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Chemistry - Minimum 15 years of industrial research experience in relevant industries - Post Doc experience desired but not essential Flexibility is a key value at our company, and we support various flexible working arrangements to suit individual needs.
