Job Description
- As a Software QA Engineer in this role, you will have the responsibility to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using the Cypress framework. You will be tasked with developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both front-end and back-end systems. Your role will also involve performing functional, regression, and integration testing, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements, and ensuring testability. Identifying and reporting bugs, tracking defects, and verifying fixes will be part of your daily tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress framework - Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for front-end and back-end systems - Perform functional, regression, and integration testing - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders - Identify and report bugs, track defects, and verify fixes - Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline - Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies - Contribute to the development and maintenance of test frameworks and best practices - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback - Work in an Agile/Scrum environment - Contribute to improving the overall QA process Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in software QA and testing - Strong experience with Cypress testing framework for UI automation - Proficiency in JavaScript and related front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) - Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar - Solid understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) - Experience with version control systems (Git) - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Experience working in the banking domain (Note: The job description also mentions experience working within the banking domain and understanding its specific challenges and regulations.),
