Job Description
To ensure the health, safety, and well-being of employees by conducting health surveillance, managing work-related illnesses/injuries, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe and healthy working environment in clients' places.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Health Surveillance & Risk Assessment
Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations.
Identify and monitor health risks related to specific job roles (e.g., exposure to chemicals, noise, ergonomic risks).
2. Occupational Illness & Injury Management
Diagnose and manage work-related illnesses and injuries.
Maintain medical records in compliance with company and legal standards.
Coordinate referrals and rehabilitation for affected workers.
3. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws (e.g., Factories Act, OSHA standards).
Prepare documentation for statutory medical records and government inspections.
4. Health Promotion & Education
Plan and deliver wellness programs, vaccination drives, and health talks.
Promote awareness around ergonomics, mental health, stress management, and lifestyle diseases.
5. Emergency Medical Response Respond to onsite medical emergencies.
Provide basic life support and arrange appropriate referrals.
6. Policy & SOP Implementation
Develop and update occupational health policies, protocols, and SOPs.
Conduct internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with safety officers, HR, and management on workforce health strategies.
Participate in health and safety committees or EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) boards.
8. Any other relevant task assigned by seniors.
