Job Description
Role Overview
The Oracle Retail Test Manager will lead the end-to-end testing strategy and execution for the JL 360 programme, with a primary focus on System Integration Testing (SIT) and non-functional testing (NFT). This role ensures that all integrated Oracle Retail SaaS components and custom extensions meet functional and performance standards before production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning:
- Define and own the SIT and NFT strategy, including scope, timelines, and resource planning.
- Develop detailed test plans, entry/exit criteria, and risk mitigation strategies.
Execution & Governance:
- Oversee SIT execution across multiple Oracle Retail modules (MFCS, RPM, RPCS) and integrated systems.
- Manage non-functional testing streams such as performance, scalability, and security testing.
- Ensure compliance with JL 360 quality standards and reporting cadence.
Defect & Environment Management:
- Drive defect triage and resolution in collaboration with development and integration teams.
- Coordinate environment readiness, including data setup and batch job orchestration.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the single point of contact for SIT/NFT status, risks, and issues.
- Engage with business, development, and vendor teams to ensure alignment on test objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Oracle Retail SaaS testing (MFCS, RPM, RPCS) with strong SIT leadership.
- Expertise in non-functional testing (performance, load, security) using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Strong knowledge of STLC, defect management tools (e.g., ALM, Jira), and test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in integration testing across APIs, batch jobs, and third-party systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle Retail environments and DevOps pipelines.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent certification.
- Experience in Agile delivery models and continuous testing practices.
