Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements.
- Ensure API performance, scalability, and security.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
- Monitor and troubleshoot API issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain version control and ensure backward compatibility.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in API development using languages such as Node.js & Python only.
- Strong understanding of RESTful principles and/or GraphQL.
- Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).
- Familiarity with API gateways, rate limiting, and caching strategies.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding security best practices in API development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
