Job Description
- As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be embedded alongside developers, utilizing the latest in-house automation framework in Java to create reliable and comprehensive automation tests. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Develop automation in existing tools and frameworks and extend them as necessary. - Execute both white- and black-box testing. - Identify current testing gaps and process flaws, suggest improvements, and implement them to increase product quality. - Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables, project testing requirements, and other quality considerations. - Work towards minimizing manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases and automating them. - Collaborate as an integral part of an Agile Engineering team, working interactively with software engineers, testing engineers, and product managers throughout the full development life cycle. - Ensure functionality delivered in each sprint is well tested, utilizing automation wherever possible. - Develop smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites for GUI front-end, API Services, and Database backend. - Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience. - 4+ years of professional experience working in a software development environment. - Hands-on experience with Cypress or Katalon Automation tool. - Experience with performance testing tools such as Jmeter, K6, or similar. - Experience using a broad range of test automation frameworks like Cucumber, RestAssured, TestNG, or similar. - Programming experience with Java, JavaScript, groovy, or similar languages. - Working knowledge of relation databases like Oracle, MySQL, or similar. - Strong experience with distributed source code control systems like Git. - Familiarity with SDLC practices of Agile (Lean, Scrum, XP, or similar). - Experience working with Devops tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and practices like continuous integration and delivery pipelines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with Onshore/Offshore teams. - Working knowledge of Linux is a plus. - Experience working with WebLogic, Spring Boot, or Tomcat application server is a plus. - Experience in the Healthcare domain is a plus.,
