Job Description
Role Overview
Seasoned hands-on architect to lead design and integration of large-scale, secure Java/Spring Boot microservices on PCF for lending/banking journeys. Own HLD/LLD, API design, performance engineering, and integration with core and thirdparty systems (e.g., Experian, IBM BPM/ODM). Mentor engineers, drive design reviews, and partner with enterprise architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 9-12 years in Java application development/maintenance with recent 18+ months in microservices architecture
- Strong Java 8, Spring Framework, Spring Boot; REST/SOAP web services; microservices
- Proven experience on PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) for cloud-native deployments
- API design and governance; strong application security understanding
- Performance engineering of distributed systems; capacity, throughput, latency tuning
- Architecting enterprise applications; create/read complex data-flow and system integration designs
- Experience integrating heterogeneous systems across Linux/Unix/Windows environments
- Tools: Swagger/OpenAPI, Mockito; strong analytical/problem-solving
- Excellent written/verbal communication; stakeholder management; work with enterprise architects
- Lending domain exposure across Customer, Staff, and RM journeys
Responsibilities
- Own and author Architecture, High-Level Design (HLD) and guide Low-Level Design (LLD) to align with solution intent
- Define end-to-end integration strategy across CORE DB, Experian, Risk Decision Services, IBM BPM and ODM suites
- Conduct design reviews of LLD and code to ensure alignment with HLD and non-functional requirements
- Devise performance engineering strategies; establish benchmarks, profiling, tuning and capacity plans
- Mentor software designers/analysts; provide technical leadership and enable knowledge sharing
- Plan and support testing, release and implementation activities across environments
- Engage independently with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to map needs to technical solutions
- Maintain architecture artefacts: sequence/component diagrams, data-flow, API specs
- Collaborate on operational readiness, logging/monitoring, and resilience patterns (retry, circuit breaker)
