Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Performance Testing Manager with deep expertise in banking and financial applications such as Oracle FLEXCUBE, Infosys Finacle, Oracle OBDX, TCS BaNCS, Temenos T24, and other digital banking platforms . The candidate will lead the performance testing and engineering practice , ensuring critical systems perform reliably under real-world transaction volumes and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end performance testing strategy, planning, and execution for core banking, digital channels, and payment systems .
- Define and validate performance SLAs and KPIs (response times, throughput, latency, concurrency, failover handling).
- Design realistic workload models reflecting banking operations such as account management, fund transfers, loan processing, payments, clearing, and internet/mobile banking usage.
- Manage the performance testing lifecycle requirement gathering, scripting, execution, monitoring, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Simulate high-volume workloads for mission-critical banking systems including:
- Core Banking : Oracle FLEXCUBE, Infosys Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Temenos T24.
- Digital Banking : Oracle OBDX, Finacle Digital Engagement Suite, TCS Digital Banking Suite.
- Payments Channels : RTGS/NEFT, SWIFT, UPI, Mobile Internet Banking platforms.
- Collaborate with architects and SMEs to identify and resolve bottlenecks in applications, databases, middleware, and infrastructure.
- Drive continuous performance monitoring and tuning in production and pre-production environments.
- Manage and mentor a team of performance testers/engineers , ensuring capability development and adoption of best practices.
- Present executive-level reports and recommendations to stakeholders including CXOs, Program Managers, and IT Leadership.
Required Skills Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Performance Testing Engineering, with at least 5+ years in the banking/financial domain .
- Hands-on experience in testing Core Banking Digital Banking platforms (Oracle FLEXCUBE, Finacle, OBDX, TCS BaNCS, Temenos T24, etc.).
- Strong expertise in performance testing tools : JMeter, LoadRunner, Neoload, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in application infrastructure monitoring tools : Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, InfluxDB, Splunk, ELK.
- Deep knowledge of Java/J2EE, microservices, middleware (MQ, Kafka, ESB), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Exadata) .
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized banking deployments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Skilled in NFR definition, workload modeling (Poisson, steady-state, stress, spike testing) , and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to analyze performance bottlenecks across application, DB, network, and infrastructure layers .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tool certifications (LoadRunner/JMeter/Neoload).
- Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Prior experience in large-scale banking transformations (core banking migration, digital channel modernization).
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven performance requirements in BFSI.
