We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst & Test Lead with deep domain expertise in Islamic Banking and hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE, specifically in the Assets, PCS (Profit calculation system), and Trade Finance modules. This role requires working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, ensure accurate configuration, and lead end-to-end testing for FLEXCUBE Islamic Banking implementations.
Role & responsibilities
As a Business Analyst:
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to Islamic banking products across Assets, Profit calculation system (PCS), Trade Finance.
- Understand and interpret Islamic finance principles such as Murabaha, Ijarah, Mudarabah, Istisna, Sukuk, and their application in FLEXCUBE modules.
- Conduct gap analysis between FLEXCUBE standard offerings and client-specific Islamic banking needs.
- Work with product teams to define and document BRDs, FSDs, and configuration guides.
- Support solution design and parameterization in FLEXCUBE Islamic Banking modules (Assets, PCS, Trade).
- Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
As a Test Lead:
- Define test strategy and plans for Islamic banking functionalities in FLEXCUBE across Murabaha, Ijarah, Mudarabah, Istisna, Sukuk, and their application in FLEXCUBE modules
- Lead the full testing lifecycle: SIT, UAT, regression testing, and go-live readiness.
- Develop comprehensive test cases for Islamic financing workflows including Asset financing, Trade-based structures, and PCS-specific services.
- Manage defect tracking, resolution, and retesting in coordination with vendors and technical teams.
- Ensure proper test data setup, documentation, and reporting for all test cycles.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and drive stakeholder sign-off.
Preferred candidate profile
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in banking technology roles, with strong exposure to Islamic Banking.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE Islamic Banking specifically in Assets, PCS, and Trade Finance modules.
- Strong understanding of Shariah-compliant products and operational workflows.
- Proven ability to create BRDs, FSDs, test scenarios, and traceability matrices.
- Experience leading test teams and working in multi-vendor environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FLEXCUBE Universal Banking (FCUBS Islamic version).
- Exposure to banking operations in the Middle East or Southeast Asia.
