We are looking for innovative and detail-oriented Furniture Structure Manual Designer experts in Flat Pack Furniture who are passionate about creating smart, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing designs that simplify everyday living. In this role, you will work on exciting assignments involving modules,
ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture, contributing to high-impact projects across US and European markets.
Your responsibility goes beyond designing, youll be crafting intuitive furniture systems that are easy to manufacture, ship, and assemble. This is a role that demands a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and practical knowledge of materials, joinery, and KD (Knock Down) fittings. You will help create not only furniture but also the manuals and guides that make them user-assembly friendly.Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed design concepts for flat pack/KD (knock-down) furniture, aligned with market trends and client needs.
- Prepare accurate and clear technical drawings, DD sets, CD sets, and cabinetry drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Ensure all designs are optimized for manufacturing, shipping, and easy assembly, with a focus on cost-efficiency and durability.
- Work with hardware specifications and incorporate suitable joinery details, KD fittings, and connectors.
- Develop comprehensive assembly manuals and guides to support end-users and installers.
- Collaborate with the engineering, production, and QC teams to validate feasibility and accuracy.
- Engage with international CAD drafting projects, delivering to US and European standards.
- Stay updated with new trends, technologies, and global design practices in flat pack and modular furniture.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Strong sense of design aesthetics and functional layout planning.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and at least one 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Revit preferred).
- Good understanding of joinery construction, woodworking techniques, and interior cabinetry systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of hardware selection, material specifications, and furniture ergonomics.
- Experience in drafting technical construction documents as per global standards.
- Ability to interpret and translate architectural/interior drawings into manufacturable outputs.
- Familiarity with KD fitting systems and best practices in flat pack furniture assembly.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight timelines without compromising on quality.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced training in CAD tools or modular furniture design is an added advantage.
