Job Description
Shell Recharge Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Automation Engineer to join our team to validate components of Shell Recharge Solutions software platform. You will develop and automate test cases from requirements and participate in the development cycle of Shell Recharge Solutions software platform. You will help drive quality within the Shell Recharge Solutions ecosystem by participating in all aspects of black-box API testing for the many EV chargers that Shell Recharge Solutions utilizes. You will work with both hardware and software test setups to help Shell Recharge Solutions deliver a quality product.
What you ll do:
- Responsible for development of automation software to test cases from requirements
- Effectively communicates project test results in written reports and presentations to internal stakeholders
- Ability to solve problems by identifying root causes, analyzing possible solutions, and selecting/implementing the appropriate action
- Perform functional testing of new features
- Work in an Agile (SCRUM) engineering environment
- Estimate QA tasks and participate in Sprint planning
- Show vigilance in reporting of information, security vulnerabilities whether personal devices, corporate assets, services offered to customers, or office environment
- Committed to security practices in policy and delivery and willing to participate in additional trainings
- Willing to be a model citizen/mentor in security practices for Shell Recharge Solutions
- Produce documentation/training material and mentor other team members
What We re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electroncis, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with 8 years relevant professional experience.
- Experienced engineer with strong software development skills and experience in developing and enhancing test automation frameworks
- A perfect candidate for this role has extensive SW development experience in Python, Manual testing, Database testing, API testing with Postman, Cucumber, and Selenium and strong interest in test automation and improving internal tools.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Fast-paced learner and self-starter
- Knowledge of software requirements, architecture, and documentation
- Knowledge of code maintenance, coding standards, and version control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, collaborative skills, and cross-functional interface skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with EVs and EV chargers
- Passion for environmental issues and renewable energy.
