Job Title: L1 Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented L1 Network Engineer to provide first-level support for network operations. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving basic network issues while escalating complex problems to higher-level engineers. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring network availability and maintaining service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network devices, links, and systems using NMS (Network Monitoring Systems).
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams.
• Log and track all issues in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar).
• Perform health checks and routine maintenance tasks as per SOPs.
• Support configuration changes under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Document troubleshooting steps and create/update knowledge base articles.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for link issues or hardware replacements.
• Adhere to defined SLAs and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Maintain compliance with IT security and network policies.
