Job Description
Job SummaryAs a Senior Associate Software Developer in Test, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products by designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools. You will work alongside developers, product managers, and QA to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. You will take ownership of test strategy, automation, and delivery of stable, high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts (for example, for UI, API, regression, integration, functional tests).
- Write and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios that validate software functionality, performance, security, and usability.
- Perform code reviews of test code and ensure best practices (clean code, maintainability, modularity).
- Identify, report, track, and help resolve defects; perform root cause analysis for issues.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated test suites; ensure builds are tested, stable, and reliable.
- Maintain and monitor test environments; ensure test data, test infrastructure, and tools are available and reliable.
- Optimize test coverage, reduce flakiness, improve performance of test executions.
- Participate in manual testing where needed; ensure coverage for edge cases.
- Mentor junior test engineers / associates; share knowledge of test tools, design patterns, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement: processes, tools, metrics, test strategy.
