Job SummaryThe Associate Director EBS Finance Functional will lead the functional finance team around Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), managing implementations, upgrades, support, and continuous improvement for the financial modules. This role ties business finance processes with IT/ERP execution, ensures alignment with business goals, manages stakeholders, and ensures robust controls & compliance. Reports to the Director / VP of Finance or Head of ERP / Applications.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Leadership & StrategyDefine and drive the strategy for Oracle EBS Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting, etc.).Ensure alignment of EBS finance functions with overall business finance strategy and regulatory/compliance requirements.Lead roadmap planning for enhancements, upgrades or migrations of EBS modules.Implementation & UpgradesLead full lifecycle implementations of EBS Finance modules (from requirement gathering / fit-gap through design, configuration, testing, go-live, hypercare).Manage upgrades and patching, including regulatory changes (eg. tax, localization).Support & MaintenanceOversee post-go-live support, issue resolution, performance optimisation.Maintain SLAs for incident resolution, enhancements, user support.Ensure robust change management, version control, documentation.Stakeholder Management & Business PartnershipEngage with business finance teams to understand functional requirements, pain points. Translate into functional specifications.Work with IT/technical teams (developers, DBA, data-integration, workflow/reporting teams) to deliver solutions.Provide regular updates to senior leadership on status, risks, budgets.Solution Design & Process ImprovementConduct fit-gap analysis and process workshops to recommend improvements / standardization across finance processes.Design solutions that leverage Oracle EBS best practices; optimize for performance, scalability, compliance.Drive automation / simplification opportunities (reporting, process flows, reconciliations etc.).Compliance, Controls & AuditEnsure finance processes and EBS configuration comply with internal controls, audit requirements, financial regulations (for example SOX, local regulatory / tax laws).Participate in audits; respond to audit findings with remediation plans.Team ManagementLead, mentor, and grow a team of functional consultants / analysts.Define responsibilities, monitor performance, ensure skill development.Documentation & TrainingOversee preparation and maintenance of all functional documentation e.g., requirement specs, functional design docs, test scripts, policy documents.Ensure user training, workshops, user acceptance testing are properly conducted.
