Company Overview
We are looking for an exceptionally talented resource to join one of our product teams in our Hyderabad/Bangalore/Gurugram office for an Individual contributor role. We are seeking a passionate and technically adept Product Lead to join the Platform & API Experience group at Arcesium, with primary ownership of the API Experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of developer experience, platform strategy, and product management. The Platform and API Experience portfolio covers various customer touchpoints with the Arcesium platform throughout all stages of the customer journey including API/developer experience, front-end user experience, and overall customer experience. This portfolio is also responsible for creating common platform capabilities like reporting, file sharing, for end users and all Arcesium products to leverage.
What you ll do:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Arcesium s API Experience Technology team, focusing on delivering a seamless, robust, and easy-to-use API ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with engineering team to evolve and maintain the API framework powering APIs across Arcesium, ensuring core capabilities like authentication, serialization/deserialization, pagination, batching, throttling, and rate limiting are effectively implemented and continuously improved.
- Drive the quality, usability, and consistency of developer-facing assets including SDKs (Java, Python, .NET), comprehensive product documentation, interactive API playgrounds, and usage monitoring tools.
- Champion best practices for API lifecycle management within Arcesium s application/product teams to ensure smooth, consistent, and high-quality API experience.
- Lead thoughtful and strategic API change management processes, including versioning, deprecation, backward compatibility, and communication planning, to minimize disruption for internal and external API consumers.
- Engage with both internal stakeholders and external developer users at client organizations to gather feedback, identify pain points, and prioritize impactful product improvements.
- Measure and analyze API usage data and user feedback to guide roadmap priorities.
- Be involved in conducting competitor analysis
- Articulate business cases, estimate timelines and budgets and communicate with all stakeholders, prepare project plans, release notes, etc.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals, technical feasibility, and delivery cadence.
What you ll need:
- 8+ years of overall work experience and a minimum of 2-year experience in product management managing technical products/platforms
- A strong understanding of API design, developer experience, and platform products.
- Customer empathy and a deep understanding of customer needs, preferably with experience in building products/platforms for developers
- Adept at balancing technical requirements with user and stakeholder needs both internally and at enterprise client organizations.
- Outstanding academic background & passion to work in a high-tech software development environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and the ability to articulate standpoints/ideas and influence stakeholders
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple lines of execution with attention to detail and quality
- A high level of personal maturity and a collaborative attitude
- A healthy combination of resourcefulness, domain expertise, creativity and execution process
