Job Description
- As an experienced professional in the accounting field, you will play a crucial role in managing relationships and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely reporting deadlines are met. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in managing relationships with internal and offshore resources, fund administrators, and auditors - Collaborating with outside fund administrators in the preparation and review of workpapers - Overseeing and reviewing daily and monthly NAV packages - Supporting the preparation and review of supporting schedules for US GAAP financial statements - Assisting with the monthly/quarterly close process - Participating in regular reviews of processes and deliverables to enhance effectiveness and accuracy - Handling various ad-hoc/special projects To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria: Education: - Bachelor's Degree and CA Qualified Certification: - CPA equivalent is a plus Experience Required: - Minimum of 10+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting/cash management - Industry experience is preferred - Experience with Advent Geneva investment accounting software or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous General Requirements: - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - Strong work ethic and motivation as a team player - Basic understanding of US GAAP - Proficiency in prioritizing and managing deadlines - Intermediate or advanced Excel skills - Detail-oriented with a track record of accuracy - Strong analytical skills and initiative to increase knowledge - Commitment to producing high-quality deliverables with personal and professional integrity Reporting Relationships: - Fund Controller The company, Ares, values collaborative, responsible, entrepreneurial, self-aware, and trustworthy individuals who strive to be catalysts for shared prosperity and a better future.
