Role Overview
The Vice President - Engineering is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving the end-to-end development and delivery of innovative, AI-driven products, manage IT services delivery to its clients. This role demands a deep technical background, hands-on coding ability, and a proven track record of leveraging AI to build scalable and cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will balance technical leadership with the ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the product engineering strategy, with a strong emphasis on AI and emerging technologies.
- Partner with executive leadership and Architecting teams to shape the company s technical vision and align it with business objectives.
- Leverage emerging technologies to build a single technology platform for all products, using no code, low code philosophy
- Strong believer in AI to improve team productivity and ability to think big
- Hands-On Product Development:
- Actively contribute to architectural design and, where necessary, coding efforts to accelerate key projects.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-quality software products.
- Hands-On Service Delivery:
- Engage with clients, understand their vision, deliver to their vision
- Wow clients with thought leadership and world class delivery
- Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Ensure team alignment with the organizations AI-driven product strategy.
- Technology and Process Excellence:
- Implement and advocate best practices in software development, architecture.
- Ensure robust design, testing, and quality assurance methodologies across all product lines.
- Stay at the forefront of AI advancements and integrate cutting-edge techniques into product engineering processes.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline engineering workflows to improve speed to market and maximize productivity without compromising quality.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track product engineering success and continuously improve outcomes.
- Efficiently manage resources, budgets, and timelines to align with strategic goals.
Technical Skills
- Core Expertise:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and building scalable cloud-native solutions.
- DevOps and Automation:
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Cybersecurity and Compliance:
- Understanding of secure software development practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Architectural Expertise:
- Ability to design scalable, microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with API design and integration.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in product engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven hands-on experience in building and deploying AI/ML-driven solutions.
- Strong track record of delivering large-scale, cloud-native software products in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional technical leadership with the ability to inspire and mentor engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders and executive teams.
