Job Description
Your Impact:
The Consultant will be responsible for implementing an Enterprise solution using the AppWorks platform, assisting customers with suitable solutions, installations, and configurations of the solution. The Consultant requires both technical and interpersonal skills to design, describe, and manage solutions. They will evaluate the existing customer environment and work out how different elements of business, information, and technology can be applied to solve a problem. Will also apply business skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data. Should be keen on enhancing the knowledge on the latest versions of AppWorks features. Should be keen to learn on other Appworks connected OT products.
What the role offers:
- Understands the business requirements, proposes the solution considering the current & future roadmap of customer.
- Offers design choices with their pros and cons and recommends the best design suited for the given context.
- Develops solutions that meets the requirements using appropriate features of AppWorks platform.
- Identifies and manages the requirements and Change requests effectively for consistent communication with all the stakeholders.
- Designs and programs complex modules of an application taking into consideration the functional and non-functional aspects.
- Takes ownership of solution quality. Actively and effectively reviews design, source code, takes defect prevention steps in software development.
- Provides high level work estimates and assists in task planning & task allocation.
- Mentors technical architects and senior engineers within the team guides them in their work.
- Passionate about new technologies/innovations happening around. Constantly upgrades knowledge on latest technologies and standards.
- Should be able to describe customer requirements technically and should be able to build quick proof of concepts to identify hot spots.
- Act as a project manager/Scrum master during project execution phases and stay close to the customer.
- Should be able to conceptualize and build high quality demos for marketing or analyst briefings, pre-sales opportunities.
- Travel within the country and abroad as per project needs.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelors or advanced degree preferably related to Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Should have very good problem solving, analytical and coding skills.
- 12 to 15+ years experience with OpenText AppWorks /Process Suite is mandatory.
- Proficient in AppWorks latest versions i.e., version 20+.
- Knowledge of either Entity Modeling and / or Angular+ is desirable.
- Knowledge of OTDS, Content Server and other Opentext products is a plus.
- Proficiency with XML, SOA, Object Orientation, SQL databases, network architecture.
- Proficiency with programming in Java, JavaScript, UI Frameworks.
- Very good knowledge of SOAP, REST web services and related technologies.
- Very good knowledge of Single Sign-on mechanisms and related standards.
- General knowledge of web servers, browsers, and other internet applications.
- Customer facing experience is mandatory, should be able to understand requirements and come up with estimates.
- The Consultant possesses in depth technical knowledge on:
- Service Oriented Architecture
- W3C standards
- Object Orientation
- Java, J2EE
- Web 2.0 technologies
- Various types of enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, EAI, BPM)
- Databases, data modeling
- Network architectures and security.
- Software development methodologies.
