Job Description
This engineer will report into the Manager of the Data Protector development Team, work across engineering disciplines, participate in requirements specifications, define architecture, and contribute to the design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of all components associated with the solutions managementback-end.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
- Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
- Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
- Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Ability to grasp new concepts and technology quickly and handle priorities in the areas of responsibility.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with 3 -6 years experience.
- Strong C & C++ programming skills
- Strong user level system programming background (Multi-threading, IPC, Network communication, Operating System interactions, protocol development, etc)
- Good experience using Windows and Linux debugging tools
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux OS concepts and related tools
- Good understanding of Data Structures
- Basic understanding of web services (SOAP / REST), HTML, CSS, JSON, XML
Desirable skills,
- Knowledge of design patterns.
- Good understanding of best development practices.
- Experience of agile development methodologies such as SCRUM.
- Experience of Test Driven Development practices.
- Knowledge of Secure development lifecycle.
