Job Description
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for product quality.
Part of Engineering team, you will work closing with Development Teams, Product Management and Cloud/Operations Team starting from requirement design/analysis and till production rollout to provide test strategy, define test planning & perform manual/automated QA activities to ensure shipped feature are of highest quality.
Ensure scope & coverage functional/non-functional QA is improving release-on-release.
Proactively evaluate QA metrics during development and post-release to improve QA processes.
Perform root-cause analysis for customer bugs and take measures enhance pre-release QA efforts.
Work with Documentation and Technical Support to ensure feature are correctly documented in product guides and customer facing articles.
Be well versed with industry trends (Cloud, Automation & Product Quality)
What the role offers:
- Defines, develops and implements test plans. Create and execute test cases. Report defects and verify the resolved defects.
- Involve in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, performance, security, internationalization/localization testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for manual test cases.
- Cloud/SaaS application testing covering both automated & manual QA work.
- Collaborates effectively with peer engineers to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end quality for product & deployment.
- Reporting test results, testing metrics and status reports on regular basis to QA Lead/Project Manager.
- Ensure on-time delivery of assigned deliverables with quality.
What you need to succeed:
- BE/BTech with 5+ Years of experience in Quality Assurance & Testing roles
- Strong knowledge and wide experience in Software Testing & Quality Assurance areas.
- Proficient in testing web-based applications, REST/API and Cloud/SaaS applications.
- Experienced with dimensions of testing - functional, regression, integration and system testing and non-functional aspects like Security, Performance, Localization, etc.
- Experienced in automation tools & frameworks (e.g. Selenium / JMeter / Playwright / Cypress)
- Knowledge of API Testing using open-source tools (e.g. Postman)
- Knowledge of Agile/SRCUM development processes.
- Execution of projects involving interaction with customers
- Ability to define end user driven test scenarios and good troubleshooting/analysis skills
- Hands-on knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and working Windows/UNIX/Linux environment
- Understanding of foundational concepts of application product development in areas of Cloud Native & Microservices deployment, DevOps and Cloud platforms.
