Senior MERN Developer (7-10 Years)
Location: Pune / Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid
About the Role
We are seeking a true full-stack engineer (not just a front-end developer) with 7-10 years of hands-on experience across front end, back end, API integration, databases, and Linux scripting. This individual will design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade applications that automate AT&Ts internal systems for network design and mobility services.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to spin up servers, integrate with Azure APIs, optimize databases, and deliver user-friendly front ends, all while thriving in a collaborative DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-stack development using MERN/MEAN technologies (React, Angular, Node.js, MongoDB).
- Front-end engineering: Build responsive UI components (React, Angular, Next.js, Material UI), migrating legacy Angular modules to React/Next.js.
- Back-end engineering: Spin up and maintain Express servers, design REST APIs, and integrate with Azure services (API calls, subscription mgmt, artifact retrieval).
- Database engineering: Develop queries and migration scripts; optimize MongoDB and SQL databases for performance and scalability.
- Scripting & deployment: Write Node.js and Bash scripts for automation, deployment, and migration tasks in a Linux (RedHat) environment.
- Testing & QA: Create and automate test cases using JEST; review test coverage and support QA automation teams.
- Collaboration: Work with requirements engineers, testers, and DevOps teams; participate in design discussions, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Continuous delivery: Use Git/Jira for version control & backlog management; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 710 years in software engineering, with proven full-stack development experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
- React.js (preferred), Angular, Next.js
- Node.js + Express
- MongoDB (SQL experience strongly considered; adaptability to Mongo is key)
- Azure API integration
- Proficiency with Linux (any flavor, RedHat preferred); ability to manage files, deployments, and basic system tasks.
- Scripting: Strong Node.js scripting, with Bash as a plus.
- Testing frameworks: JEST, Mocha, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Git, Jira, and working within Agile/DevOps teams.
- Strong understanding of data formats (JSON, YAML).
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to quickly onboard with minimal hand-holding.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Highcharts, etc.).
- Familiarity with Python scripting.
- Relational database knowledge (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing).
