Job Description
- As a Robotics Engineer at JSW Sarbloh Motors Pvt Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the development of Unmanned Drive Systems for extreme mobility platforms. Your responsibilities will include designing circuits, creating hardware architecture, developing embedded software, and ensuring the smooth operation of unmanned drive systems for off-road vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop autonomous navigation algorithms for localisation, perception, path planning, and control. - Integrate sensor suites (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, IMUs, GPS) and implement sensor fusion for robust situational awareness. - Develop real-time decision-making and obstacle-overcoming strategies in dynamic environments. - Build and test autonomous vehicle software stacks using ROS/ROS2, middleware, and firmware. - Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for seamless drive-by-wire integration. - Conduct field trials and iterative tuning of autonomy modules in real-world conditions. - Ensure safety compliance and contribute to fail-safe design architecture, with knowledge of ISO 26262 and SOTIF preferred. - Participate in technical reviews, documentation, and roadmap development for autonomy features. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Masters in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in developing autonomous or semi-autonomous, or ADAS, vehicle systems. - Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2). - Solid understanding of control theory, SLAM, path planning (e.g., RRT, A*), and computer vision. - Hands-on experience with real-time systems, embedded programming, and actuator control. - Familiarity with simulation tools such as Gazebo, Carla, or NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Preferred Skills: - Experience with autonomous agricultural, mining, or defence vehicles. - Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks for behavioural prediction and trajectory planning. - Exposure to AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet, and safety-critical software environments. - Prior involvement in DARPA-style autonomy projects or academic competitions.
