Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Brahmin cook must be good in preparing authentic South Indian vegetarian cooking, adherence to strict religious and hygiene standards during meal preparation, and the ability to cook traditional Brahmin cuisine. Responsibilities include daily meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, dinner), grocery shopping, menu planning, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and potentially assisting with special event catering.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily Meal Preparation:

Cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, preparing a variety of traditional Brahmin dishes.

  • Grocery Shopping:

Assist with planning meals for the week and shopping for fresh ingredients.

  • Menu Planning:

Create diverse and balanced weekly menus based on family preferences.

  • Kitchen Hygiene:

Maintain strict standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and for food preparation to ensure health and safety.

  • Cultural Adherence:

Follow specific Brahmin cultural practices and dietary protocols in food preparation.

  • Special Occasions:

Provide culinary support for festivals, weddings, and other family celebrations.

  • Flexibility:

Accommodate changes in meal requests and be available for additional services as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Authentic Cuisine Knowledge: Expertise in authentic, traditional vegetarian Brahmin cooking.
  • Dietary Understanding: Knowledge of specific dietary requirements and restrictions within Brahmin culture.
  • Hygiene Standards: Strong commitment to personal and kitchen hygiene.
  • Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
  • Professionalism: Ability to work professionally and maintain positive communication with the family.
