Role Overview As the Engineering Manager Gen AI (CQA Team), you will lead a team of engineers to build next-generation customer experience solutions powered by AI. You will own the delivery, quality, and execution of engineering projects, working closely with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while creating a culture of efficiency, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Translate the engineering roadmap into executable projects and own end-to-end delivery.
- Track and report engineering health metrics (e.g., bug severity, production incidents, resolution timelines).
- Guide the team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. Implement processes for code reviews, test plans, and deployment practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers on functional roadmaps and requirements and partner with Architects on non-functional requirements (scalability, security, performance).
- Work closely with business owners, PMs, and architects to align priorities and timelines, and own communication, reporting, and alignment across all stakeholders.
Must-Haves:
- 8 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong technical expertise in backend/platform development, REST APIs, client libraries, and/or frontend systems.
- Experience with Gen AI technologies and implementing AI-driven solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects with measurable outcomes.
- 1 2+ years of experience in building/managing a high-performance team.
- Capability and intent to take end-to-end ownership of delivery. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cloud deployments, distributed/scalable systems, and a DevOps-first culture.
