Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented Structural Specialist to join our team and help ensure the accuracy and quality of structural drawings before construction begins. Your main job will be to carefully review structural drawings and coordinate with other disciplines like Architecture, MEP, and Civil to catch errors and improve constructability.
If you love digging into drawings, spotting issues, and making sure everything fits together perfectly, this role is for you!
What Youll Do:
- Review structural drawing sets (plans, sections, details) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Identify and report errors, omissions, conflicts, and constructability challenges.
- Coordinate drawings with Architectural, MEP, and Civil teams to spot and resolve conflicts.
- Document your findings clearly with comments and markups.
- Help improve our quality control processes and tools.
- Work with the product and development teams to enhance AI tools based on your review insights.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Masters is a bonus).
- At least 5 years of experience reviewing structural drawings or working in construction quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of structural systems including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry.
- Familiarity with construction drawings for large projects like high-rises, hospitals, or stadiums.
- Ability to identify coordination issues between different disciplines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication skills to share your observations effectively.
- Comfortable using design review software (e.g., Bluebeam).
- Experience with structural design or analysis software is a plus.
