Hiring: Azure Data Engineers (Contract Role)

Location: Bangalore / Kochi / Gurugram (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months (Based on Project Requirements)

Job Title: Developer / Sr. Azure Data Engineer
Interview Rounds: 23 (Based on Managers Evaluation)

Primary Skillset (Mandatory):

• Azure Databricks
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• PySpark
• Advanced SQL

Role: Sr. Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using ADF and PySpark
• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows across structured and semi-structured data sources
• Write efficient, production-grade SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and reporting
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to ensure data integrity, performance, and security
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and failures in real-time
• Document technical designs, data flows, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong hands-on exposure to the Azure ecosystem
• Proficiency in PySpark for distributed data processing and transformation
• Advanced SQL skills for complex joins, aggregations, and performance tuning
• Deep understanding of Azure Data Factory (ADF) including pipeline orchestration, triggers, and linked services
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Lake Storage, and Databricks is a plus
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and agile development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
