Job Description
- As a Quality Assurance Automation Tester at Aiprus Software Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications and backend services through comprehensive automation coverage, rigorous testing, and effective bug identification and reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks and test scripts for web UI and API testing. - Implement automation tests using industry-standard tools, focusing on Selenium for UI automation and Rest Assured for API automation. - Integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. - Develop and execute automated test cases for new features and regression testing. - Perform comprehensive testing, including functional, system, integration, and regression testing. - Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects not covered by automated tests. - Apply a strong understanding of the software development and bug life cycle to manage and track defects effectively. - Design and execute detailed test cases for backend services and APIs. - Utilize tools like Rest Assured for automating API tests and work with databases for data validation and analysis. - Use Linux/Unix commands for debugging and interacting with backend systems. - Identify, document, and report bugs clearly, including steps to reproduce and expected vs. actual results. - Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and troubleshoot defects, track bug status, and verify fixes. - Contribute to improving bug reporting and defect management processes. - Review and create test plans, test cases, and test strategies. - Provide regular reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect status to stakeholders. - Identify and assess risks and errors in the application under test. - Participate in root cause analysis of defects and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. - Communicate technical concepts and testing results clearly and effectively. - Demonstrate a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving and a passion for thorough testing. **Qualifications Required:** - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Automation testing for both User Interface (UI) and API. - Strong experience in testing web applications and backend services. - Proficient in web UI testing, API testing, and Mobile testing concepts. - Hands-on experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) for data validation. - Proficiency in using Linux/Unix commands for system interactions. - Hands-on experience with API automation using Rest Assured and UI automation tools like Selenium. - Ability to recognize and assess risks, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for software testing.
