Job Description

Job Summary:We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Anti-virus and Patching Engineer to provide Level 1 support and manage critical (P0) security incidents related to endpoint protection and patch management. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deployment of patches, monitor antivirus solutions, and act swiftly to resolve high-priority security issues to maintain enterprise security posture.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Level 1 (L1) support for antivirus and patching related incidents and requests.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to antivirus alerts and incidents.
- Coordinate and deploy security patches and updates on endpoint devices and servers following established change management processes.
- Identify, triage, and resolve P0 (Priority 0) security incidents with urgency and precision.
- Work closely with Security Operations and IT teams to escalate and remediate critical threats.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, patches deployed, and resolutions.
- Assist in testing patches and antivirus updates in pre-production environments.
- Follow security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Provide regular status updates during incident resolution and patch deployment windows.
- Support asset management by maintaining an up-to-date inventory of endpoints and their patch/antivirus status.
- Basic knowledge of antivirus software (e.g., Symantec, McAfee, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro, etc.)
- Familiarity with patch management tools (e.g., Microsoft SCCM, WSUS, Ivanti, or similar).
- Understanding of incident management and priority handling, especially P0 severity incidents.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
