We are looking for an Automation Testing Engineer-ADMS/OMS with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in testing and validation of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).

The ideal candidate should have strong skills in C#, Python, Wireshark, and be comfortable working with MongoDB and SQL databases. A solid foundation in electrical distribution systems and grid automation is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ADMS applications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of ADMS modules including Outage Management System (OMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO).
- Develop test automation scripts using C# and Python to validate business logic, interfaces, and real-time system behavior.
- Analyze real-time communication and protocol data using Wireshark and validate integration with SCADA, GIS, and AMI systems.
- Validate ADMS performance under various operational scenarios such as feeder reconfiguration, outage simulations, and load flow analysis.
- Test integration with field devices (RTUs, IEDs, smart meters) and control center interfaces.
- Perform data verification and validation using SQL and MongoDB, including historical and real-time datasets.
- Participate in system integration, acceptance testing, and regression testing activities.
- Collaborate with product managers, development teams, QA, and utilities engineers to improve product quality and operational readiness.
- Document all test procedures, test results, defect reports, and ensure traceability to system requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer science or in a related field.
Desired Experience & Skills
- 46 years of experience in testing ADMS/OMS or power distribution management systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems, substations, and smart grid operations.
- Experience in testing industry-standard communication protocols and telemetry systems.
- Familiarity with test case design, test execution, and defect lifecycle management.
- Ability to follow various industrial standards and write specifications.
- MS SQL query writing, stored procedure validation.
- MongoDB NoSQL document testing and data verification.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in C# and Python.
- Experience with simulation tools, or protocol simulators (e.g., Triangle Microworks, SEL simulators).
- Proficiency in Wireshark for protocol analysis and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADMS modules (e.g., OMS, FLISR, VVO, Load Flow).
- Highly motivated, self-managed, detail-oriented and well-organized; good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Competency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office & Excel
- Fluent in English and good verbal and written abilities
- Effectively communicate across all levels within the organization regarding complex technical.
- Ability to work in an environment using a decentralized, team-based approach.
