Netezza Developer @ Team Computers

Job Description

As a Senior Netezza Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions. You will ensure high performance, data integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems that support business operations across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Netezza-based data warehouse objects (tables, views, stored procedures, scripts).
• Design, build, and optimize DataStage ETL jobs and DB2 SQL queries for complex data transformations.
• Perform database administration tasks including schema design, access control, and system monitoring.
• Support database backup, recovery, and migration activities.
• Ensure compliance with security and data governance guidelines for sensitive information.
• Partner with IT and business teams to deliver accurate and timely data solutions.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend enhancements.
• Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 58 years of strong experience in Netezza, DataStage, DB2, and SQL.
• Proficient in database performance monitoring and optimization.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Solid problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
• Experience with Agile project delivery.Role & responsibilities
