1. To assist in preparing the room for surgery
2.Responsible for having surgical equipment, and other equipment ready for the operation.
3.To assist doctors by handing them needed instruments during surgery and for supply of equipment s and readiness of equipment s and supply of drugs to Anesthetist.
4.Transferring patient after operations to the recovery room and ensure safe transfer of patient from operating room to ward or other unit.
5.Assist anesthesia providers using aseptic or sterile technique with non - invasive and invasive patient procedures including peripheral andor central intravenous and or arterial line placement.
6.Assist anesthesia providers with physiological monitoring of patient notifying the anesthesia providers of abnormal changes in vital signs andor physical appearance of the patient.
7.Clean anesthesia machine, monitors and equipment flowing procedure established by infection control
8.Assist with patient laboratory tests and results including but not limited to ABG s, ACTs and other point of care testes
9.Obtain blood products and pharmaceuticals assisting with preparation and delivery.
10.Maintain immediate availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures
11.Keep abreast of the progress of and knowledge to maintain the highest standard of professional competence.
14.Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
18.Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
