Job Description
- As an Azure Migration Engineer, your role involves assessing current infrastructure for cloud migration feasibility and analyzing legacy applications for modernization and migration to the cloud. You will design and implement cloud-native applications using microservices, containerization, and serverless architectures. Your responsibilities also include migrating on-premise applications to Azure cloud, refactoring monolithic applications to microservices-based architecture, and implementing DevOps best practices like CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing. Working with cross-functional teams for seamless cloud adoption, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of applications on the cloud, and assisting the Migration Lead in technical documentation and solution architecture are key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will provide post-migration support, address any arising issues, and build unique Azure cloud solutions using best practices. Monitoring and maintaining Azure cloud solutions for availability and performance are also part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Assess current infrastructure and determine cloud migration feasibility - Assess and analyze legacy applications for modernization and migration to the cloud - Design and implement cloud-native applications using microservices, containerization, and serverless architectures - Migrate on-premise applications to Azure cloud - Refactor monolithic applications to microservices-based architecture - Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated testing - Work with cross-functional teams for seamless cloud adoption - Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of applications on the cloud - Assist the Migration Lead in technical documentation and solution architecture - Provide post-migration support and address any issues that arise - Using best practices to build unique Azure cloud solutions - Maintaining and monitoring Azure cloud solutions for availability and performance Required Skills & Experience: - Strong programming experience in .NET - In-depth experience in designing and implementing software solutions using Azure cloud native technologies - Hands-on experience in Cloud Platforms with specialization in Azure - Experience in Microservices, API Gateway, ServiceMesh Implementation - Experience with application modernization tools and strategies, including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and refactoring approaches - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation - Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures - Knowledge of cloud-native services (e.g., logic apps, Azure Functions) - Exposure to database modernization migrating from legacy RDBMS to managed DBs or NoSQL - Awareness of security, compliance, and cost optimization in the cloud Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications in Azure (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-305) - Experience in monolith to microservices transformation projects - Exposure to modern front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) - Understanding of FinOps or cost-efficient cloud architecture,
