Job Description

    As a Sous Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, you will play a crucial role in ensuring culinary excellence in our kitchen. With 8-12 years of progressive culinary experience, your deep expertise in various Indian cooking techniques and regional specialties will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities: - Execute and oversee the preparation of authentic and contemporary Indian dishes, such as North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, and Street Food. - Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control for all Indian dishes. - Assist in developing new Indian menu items and specials. - Supervise and guide junior chefs and kitchen staff in the Indian section. - Manage inventory for Indian ingredients, maintain a clean and organized kitchen workstation, and maximize efficiency in food production processes. - Train and mentor junior culinary staff in Indian cooking techniques, fostering a positive and disciplined work environment. - Strictly adhere to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health codes, conducting regular quality checks of ingredients and finished dishes. Qualifications Required: - 8-12 years of proven culinary experience, with a significant focus on authentic Indian cuisine. - In-depth knowledge of various regional Indian cuisines, spices, cooking methods, and traditional recipes. - Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a kitchen team effectively. - Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Culinary degree/diploma from a recognized institution is preferred. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The company offers food provision, Provident Fund, a yearly bonus, and a rotational shift schedule. Reliability in commuting or willingness to relocate to Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra, is required for in-person work.,
