Job Description
Switch Tester with strong expertise in card-based payment systems and transaction switch platforms such as Switch NXT or FIS
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of card transaction switches (Switch NXT, FIS).
- Validate transaction routing and switching across POS, ATM, e-commerce, and other channels.
- Conduct testing for debit/credit/prepaid card flows including ISO8583 message validation.
- Design and execute test scenarios for online and batch transaction processing.
- Utilize simulators for POS/ATM testing and analyze host and acquirer responses.
- Validate authorization, clearing, and settlement flows.
- Raise and track defects, work with developers to resolve issues.
- Perform certification and compliance testing with card networks (Visa, MasterCard, etc.).
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of switch applications.
- Participate in UAT and support go-live activities.
- Hands-on experience with Switch NXT or FIS (IST/Connex) platforms (must-have).
- Strong understanding of ISO8583 messaging format.
- Familiar with end-to-end card transaction lifecycle Authorization, Clearing, and Settlement.
- Experience with tools like POS simulators, ATM test tools, Host simulators.
- Knowledge of card schemes (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay) and transaction types.
- Good exposure to defect management and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
- Ability to analyze logs and trace issues in switch environments.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- 7+ years of experience in cards & payments domain with switch testing experience
