Job Description
Overview- The translation of customer specifications into engineering solutions including the identification and mitigation of technical risk.
- The production of engineering calculations that are necessary to support any conceptual or detail engineering solution for which they are responsible.
- The detailing of engineering solutions in accordance with Industry Standards or client standards, sufficient for manufacture or purchase of such items.
- Contributing to technical reports and feasibility studies. Also for ensuring that any contractual, safety or legislative requirements have been taken into account.
- Guidance of technicians, sub-contractors or suppliers in support of projects ensuring that this is carried out in a safe manner.
- Engineering contribution in support of sales proposals.
- The production of clear written technical reports and presentations.
- Right first time and on time delivery of their work. The ability to estimate the time to carry out tasks and to plan their own work.
- The Companys Quality Assurance Policies in any work undertaken. In particular to be fully conversant with the requirements of the Companys Processes Manual.
- Continuous improvement contribution to their personal development and company development in all appropriate areas. Qualifications BTech/MTech Essential skills
- Knowledge of aircraft Fuselage and wing structure and aircraft loads
- Experienced in the static calculations of Airbus aircrafts (fuselage and wing section)
- Sizing and stress analysis of the fuselage and wing Structure and interfaces by means of hand calculations, numerical simulations (FEM)
- Well versed in ISAMI static modules and ISAMI template preparation for metallic and composite modules
- Experience in numerical modeling, post-processing, extraction & reporting of the results
- Very well-versed in stress dossier writing
- Good in excel macros
- Experience in the below Tools is required:
- ISAMI
- Hyperview (post processing knowledge)
- Catia V5, PASS SSI (Basic Knowledge)
- Nastran/Patran
- Microsoft Office
- Airbus Supply Desired skills
- Knowledge of Airbus processes and procedures
- Visual basic and or python programming knowledge.
- Automation of repeatable tasks / processes.
- Experience in initial Design Stress (Static and FEM) tasks of Aircraft Structures. Experience 4 to 6 years
