Job Description
We are seeking an experienced offshore specialist to support our Planview environment, with a strong focus on reporting and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Microsoft Report Builder, Power BI, SOAP Web Services, and RPA tools such as UI Path or Power Automate. Familiarity with Planview architecture and working in distributed teams is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting
- Use custom SQL to create and manage datasets within Planview.
- Develop and maintain reports using Microsoft Report Builder and Power BI, leveraging Planview datasets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all reporting outputs.
Automation
- Utilise SOAP Web Services to perform bulk data loads and automate processes within Planview.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions using RPA tools (UI Path, Power Automate), especially where SOAP is not applicable.
- Work with architecture teams to obtain approval for any RPA extensions within Planview.
- Automate processes outside of Planview as needed (e.g., demand intake workflows).
General
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting and automation.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Participate in regular meetings with onshore and offshore teams to ensure alignment and progress.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to Planview usage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working as an offshore resource in a distributed team environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Report Builder, and Power BI.
- Experience with SOAP Web Services for automation and bulk data operations.
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UI Path and/or Power Automate.
- Familiarity with Planview architecture, modules, and configuration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across time zones.
- Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) tools, especially Planview Enterprise One.
- Prior involvement in Planview implementation or support projects is ideal.
- Knowledge of process documentation and change management.
- Experience in the financial services sector is also beneficial
- Must be well versed in conceptual, logical and physical data modelling techniques (proven hands-on experience is preferred)
- Good to have conceptual understanding of ETL (any tool / scripting)
- Designing and optimising database structures for performance and scalability.
- Identifying and resolving data-related issues and anomalies.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for data models, schemas, and over all data management processes (including documentation for analytical and operational reporting).
Additional Information
- This is a remote/offshore position; candidates must have reliable internet connectivity and be able to work flexible hours to accommodate collaboration with onshore teams.
