Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The OpenShift Deployment Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our OpenShift infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with partners (Dell,HPE,Nokia,CISCO & Ericsson) to ensure the successful deployment, expansion & upgrade of E// applications ( EPG,PCC,MME) on the OpenShift platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage OpenShift clusters and infrastructure.

2. Deploy and manage containerized applications using OpenShift.

3. Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability and reliability.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift deployments and applications.

5. Implement security best practices (MBSS) for OpenShift and containerized applications.

6. Create and maintain documentation for OpenShift environments and processes.

7. Stay up-to-date with the latest OpenShift developments and industry best practices.

1. understand Red Hat Openshift (RHOCP) / Red Hat Storage solutions

2. understand RHOCP design, prepare RHOCP deployment templates

3. deploy Red Hat Openshift with Red Hat Cluster Storage (Internal ODF or External ODF)

4. deploy KVM on baremetal / deploy RHEL VMs

5. configure RHOCP cluster / discuss with OEMs / understand OEM's requirements / implement OEM related parameters on cloud

6. participate in cloud acceptance testing / work on the test cases

7. complete entire e2e integration of cloud with client's ecosystem

8. hand over cloud to operations team after addressing all points in the checklist

9. provide go-live cloud support

10. should be able to create MoP(s) for activities to be done on live cloud & execute the same.

11. understand different OCP deployment procedures such as UPI, IPI, via RHACM
