Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to work on various video products with the R&D team of Velocix.
The Senior Developer role includes requirement analysis, design, development, and implementation of technical solutions on product components and their interactions.
Expected Deliverables:
The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand both business and user requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in the complete software development life cycle, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Requirements
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years in the software industry as a Software Developer or similar role
Technical Skills:
- Strong development expertise in Java/JEE with Spring framework
- Knowledge of microservices-based architectures
- Experience with any UI framework: AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, JavaScript
- Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, or similar)
- Exposure to NoSQL development
- Strong expertise in Linux-based application development
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and debugging tools
- Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems
- Working experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Good knowledge of Cloud Computing and Cloud Native Application Development
- Strong expertise in Linux Operating Systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with requirement, test, and bug management tools
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence usage in development activities
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Strong listening skills and collaborative team player
- Ability to take technical leadership and mentor scrum team members
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of Video Technologies (OTT services)
- Certifications in Linux
- Certifications in Programming Technologies
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and execute assigned tasks
- Design, code, and develop tests based on requirements
- Write unit test cases
- Conduct code reviews and review test cases
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in testing and production environments
- Document design, feature specifications, and user guides
