Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Quality Engineering Lead (AQEL) / Quality Engineering Lead (QEL) to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both frontend and backend testing, test automation, and cloud technologies (AWS). You will be responsible for leading, designing, and implementing robust test strategies, frameworks, and practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Requirements
A Bachelors degree or an equivalent qualification, with 57 years of industry experience.
Proven experience in leading efforts to define test strategies, planning, and conducting reviews. Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing across frontend and backend components.
Proficiency in UI and API test automation using open-source tools such as Selenium and REST Assured.
Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) and cloudbased testing environments.
Ability to review and contribute to the development of automation scripts and frameworks.
Experience in performance engineering and using performance testing tools like JMeter.
Strong knowledge of software testing processes, practices, test management tools, and test design techniques.
Solid understanding of Java, object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, and coding standards.
Experience with continuous integration, build, and source control tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
Familiarity with defect management and the defect lifecycle.
Experience in testing middle-tier and service-oriented architectures using automation frameworks such as REST Assured.
Practical understanding of Agile software testing and software engineering concepts.
Ability to oversee and manage test execution and communicate test statuses to stakeholders.
Experience in mentoring, training, and leading a team of Quality Engineers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Professional certifications such as ISTQB are an added advantage.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
